Ollie,

It appears to be 9036. Search on Ebay for "neapco u joint" and you'll see one there for sale for $49.99 or best offer.

thanks mark .. yep..I spotted them on EBAY .. was wondering about lateral movement in the joint.. modern joints have none of course but it seems the joint for enclosed torque tube drive line does .. am I interpreting its function correctly or is the joint I have faulty ??.. It has 1/2" free play on both axis.. up and sideways

Modern U joints on driveshafts have no lateral play because they keep the driveshaft in line. With the torque tube, that job is taken care of by the bushings in the tube and the bearings in the transmission.

My 1951 1 Ton is now on the road! My 38 Master 4 Door is also now on the road .
