Since a year I own a 1946 Chevrolet Stylemaster Coupe (and recently joined the VCCA) with with original IFS, dropped spindles and converted to disc brakes. It has her original steering box and I can feel the road pretty strong in the steering wheel. My question is: are there a kind of steering dampers (rag joint or other) to smoothen the noise, vibration? Or is there a newer steering box/system which fits on my 1946 IFS?
Thanks for your help Rolf van Lubeck (Alkmaar, The Netherlands)email: lubeck@worldonline.nl
