Hey VCCA guys,,well the other day,i bought a 46 Chev stylemaster,4 door,,,been sitting for 20 years inside,,outside since Nov..The guy wanted $1295 for it,i got it for $1000..Has the outside Sunvisor,,Front and back Fender extensions,,and the inside isnt too shabby either,,Dr door needs handle,Floor boards rusted thru,by drivers door (about A foot square)I figured the way they're Crushing cars..I'd save one..What would be the 1st thing to do on this car??...Happy Dave luv2

Purchase a digital camera, reprint of the Owner's Manual and Repair Manual.

Contact Chevrolet and request an Engineering Features Book (You will need the VIN, and other numbers available if you call them).

Use the camera to document what the present condition is and the order of disassembly. You can also use the pictures attached to email messages to obtain specific information.

When completely stumped, come on back here with your questions.

Make immediate friends with the 1946 VCCA TA.

Dave,
Have the same one and in similar condition. When I bought it I had the same idea and that was to save it from the junk yard. Now I have it and don't know what to do with it. The wife won't let me park it in the garage, so it's parked out back under a tarp. I don't have the time to work on it and I'm affraid it will just rust. Keep me in mind if you need any parts. Maybe someone will read this and need something. Dan O.

Hi Dan O: Have you tried selling parts on E-bay?....Me myself im looking for the "Chevrolet" name plate from the grill,,and the trunk handle...also drivers door handle.. ..You can also try "chevytalk" for selling parts too..I hope things go good for you Dan 0....Dave
