Check your G&D. There is a guy in there in the want ad's that sells rebuild parts. He may have a lead on a valve body.

I repaired the transmission on a 1961 and used a "Speedy Sleeve". Still running today.

Do you have a VCCA member number? And do you get the magazine each month?

Well, I thought that since you didn't know what the G&D was perhaps you were not a member. Is the missus hiding the mag when it comes? On another note I am also doing a 51 and your photos and thread are a great resource. I also agree with using a speedi-sleeve on your valve body. I've sold many of them in the heavy truck parts business and they can save a lot of $$$ and are very effective. Good luck with your repair and keep the photos coming.
