I picked up a 1948 3600 series 3/4 ton pick-up with all the original equipment. It needs a little work, it's been sitting in the weather for 17 years, but has very little rust damage. Does anyone know if this model is worth restoring?

IF you are restoring a car thinking you can make some money DON'T! If you are restoring a car as a labor of love go for it! You rarely make a profit on any car that is PROPERLY restored!
I am going to grow up someday!

No one but some one who provides services will make money on a restoration. I'm doing a 48 Fleetline did all the work myself and have over 10K invested so you know I ain't in for a profit!
