Hi. My 1924 again. I am about to take the engine out of the car, it does not look like the 490 in my 1918.
Does anyone have a picture of a 1924 Engine, installed or out of the car.
Mine seems to miss the mounts on the left side, comparede to a 490.

regards
Olle

The above engine has the "1925 only" two piece rocker cover. 1924 had no rocker cover at all, just exposed rockers. In 1926, they went to a single, long cover which was then used for the remainder of the 4 cylinder production.

Mr Google indicated it was 1924, did 1925 have the long drop? Is it possible to put 1925 valve covers on a 1924 engine? Learn something new every day about these things.

You could install 1925 or later valve covers on the 24 engine, but you would have to make provisions for some studs to bolt the covers to.

Thanks for photos. My concern is the motormounts which seems very odd on my car. Any photos?
