My ventilation vent doesn't have all the parts connected that allows my vent to stay open. I am currently putting the latch on some wires to keep it open. I recently was given some of the original pieces to the latch that allows it to be adjusted. Can anyone share a photo of how the latch is connected underneath the dash? I'd appreciate it.

Depending on what year you have, here is an example for the '37-'38 model year:

That's one of the few areas I don't have pictures of. I have an extra setup in the garage. I'll see if it shows enough to help you out & snap a pic or two if it does.

Great find!! That saves me the job of crawling under the dash. What holds the vent open is the assembly down by the knob/shaft. It's a spring loaded ball that snaps into one of four holes shown on the hand lever. The hole at one end holds it closed, the other end holds it wide open & the other two are hold it between full open and full closed.

The picture is for a car. You have a truck which is different.

You are correct. As I got uner and started looking I realized that my '38 truck is different that this car pic. Can someone take a pic of their truck linkage si I can see how it pieces together?
Thanks
