I am looking for the 1" copper tube that goes through the block and into the Oil distributor. 1930 Chevy.... 194 Any Ideas???

Also, Will any copper washer work for the head side of the bolts that hold the drippers onto the block or do they need to be special?
Steven

Hi Steven- coincidently I am working on the same oil lines in my '31 engine. I have thus far left the copper line that goes through the block in place. Does it just pull out? I removed all of the stove bolts and copper washers from outside the block and was then able to remove the two internal oil distribution blocks that contain the drippers. I want now to remove the two copper oil lines that run fore and aft inside the block but they seem to still be attached to something where they pass through the block in the area of the center main bearing. Any idea how to remove these lines? Thanks - Tom

Billy Possum has the copper clad washers for the screws that hold the oil tubes in the block. The other oil tubes in the block - if they are similar to the 29 block are installed and soldered together. On my engine I did not think it was worth removing them in order to use the modern pyro style of cleaning. The engine rebuilder in this case used a rotating cleaner, and then I double checked the "sediment pockets".
