If you have the 2005 catalog from
chevs of the 40's look at the front view of the 1948 on the front cover.Note that the lights are just inside the parking lights.

Next look up at the picture of the 1939.Thats my car-picture was taken at the 40th Anniversary Meet in Springfield,Il. in 2001.They took the license plate off the front fender (air brushed?).The 1937 pictured is Ardie Overbys,The 1938 is my friend Bill Kohleys, and the 1941 is Ron Wades.I didn't know that they took these pictures to use for their catalog -- and this was the only time that these cars were all together.I think I should get some free parts for the use of my picture.

Note that the 1938 had the incorrect fog light brackets at that time. They were from a 1940 - thats why they sit so low.Should be higher like the 1937 and 1939.

Also know the owners of a few of the other cars.

Chef -

Yes, that's my car. It's all original except the rear fender seams have been smoothed and it had new paint 20 some years ago. Only 53,000 miles on it.

Yours is black, too? You mean Chevrolet made more than one black '48 two door sedan? Who'd a thunk it? laugh

Sorry... wink
