Im looking for a site or any help locating directions on how to install the vinyl part of the roof on a 1929 chevy sedan. We have the kit which came with no directions. We placed a call to the company but have not received a call back yet. Thanks for any help.

I would also like to get a copy of the Hampton Coach instructions. My email is chevy chip (without space) at yahoo.com or it is in my profile.

OK Guys, I have a scanner and will scan them then email to everyone. I have a meeting tonight for my RC club so if I get them out tonight, it will be fairly late. If not, then they'll go out tomorrow.

I find it interesting that all three of my '28s (Coach, Coupe, Canopy Express) had smooth stretched corners instead of the folded shown in the Hampton Coach instructions. Were the earlier car tops folded because the front header was more square?

I finished installing a new Hampton Coach/LaBaron vinyl top on my '31 Special Sedan about 9 months ago. The one thing I would stress is to do as much sealing as possible at each step. I used high quality GE black 100% silicone. I put it under the steel the whole way under the nailing line on the roof rail. Then I repeated it as I installed the roof nails. Again, I put silicone under and in the fold over hide em all the way around. I've seen so many roof leaks over the years that I was really paranoid. They ruin the head liners and cause a lot of wood rot in critical areas.

Happy Motoring!
