I have been contacted by a member who is working on a 1925 Chevy truck. He is seeking a good generator end plate; the one that fits the 950-B generator where the distributor and oil pump mounts. Just so happens I have collected a few of these over the years for my '25 and could spare one for his project. I just don't know what to ask for one in good to very good condition. Can anyone help me give him a fair quote?
Thanks, Leaping Lena

I found that I have several in what I will say are "good" (useable with work) to "very good" (probably useable as-is) condition. I quoted $100 for "good" to $150 for "very good" plus shipping. I have pictures that I could e-mail to you. Send me a request at gdchildsjr@sbcglobal.net if you are interested.
I think if I were to be working on a '25 today, I would buy one of the new aluminum castings; available from The Filling Station for $345. It would be less likely to have future problems.
Good luck, Leaping Lena

I used to sell them for less than that with shipping to the U.S.,until my units were copied by a couple of people over there. And they were cast out of bronze, far better for electrical conductivity than the aluminium ones.
