I hope this is the right form for my question. what is the best way to protect the aluminum on my new featherlite trailer? wax, polish,or some other way? thanks for any advice.

Check with the trailer mfg. as I am sure they can tell you or a truck trailer supplier.

I had a Featherlite open trailer and no matter what I did the aluminum oxidized. I finally found some wash/soap for aluminum trailers at a truck stop. It kept the oxidation down to a minumum and kept it under control. The are great trailers! and that was the only problem I had was keeping after the aluminum.

I remember paying just as much for my open trailer as the cheaper closed trailers were selling for. I sold it five years later for just a little less then what I paid for it. I only wish I could have afforded a closed one when I decided to go to a closed trailer.
