As a practical matter, what is the tolerance? Literature says it should be 1.125 inches. However, mine measures 1.120 even in areas that clearly have never seen any wear. The new bushing I got is 1.125 ID, so when fit on the shaft there is a slight wobble. I would like no wobble. Were undersized bushings ever available?
This may have been answered before, but I could not get search to work today.

I think you will find that is the normal clearance for a bushing. When it is pressed into the housing it will probable collapse a little also.

Chev Nut, thank you for that information. I will get that bushing pressed in and go from there.

I would say they also allow for a little space for lubricant.

Yes, pressing it into the housing reduced the clearance from 0.005" to 0.003". With grease in it, I can hardly feel any wobble.
