Hello, Is there supposed to be a gear shift boot on a 1938 Coupe / pickup? Also should there be a boot on the hand brake lever. Any info is appreciated. Thanks, Charles S.

No and no to the best of my knowledge. You can buy them but I don't believe they came with boots. If I'm wrong someone will correct me.

Just like the rubber seals/gaskets sold to go under various lights and brackets that attach to the sheet metal parts.
