How exactly should the headlight pods be mounted to the headlight bar on a 1927 Chevy? Does the headlight pod mount directly on the headlight bar with the swivel standoff and the nut below the bar or does the swivel standoff go between the headlight pod and the headlight bar with only the nut below the bar. The reason I ask is that the headlight pod seems to shake a fare amount with the standoff in between the pod and bar. Any words of wisdom is greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

Howdy 27Chevy....I have a 28 chevy and on it the headlight is mounted on the bar and the adjustment shim is under/in the bar and then the nut and lock washer hold it all on. wink

Howdy 27 Chevy

I agree with Terry 28, otherwise your headlight is too high.

Cheers

Some say "Street is neat". I prefer "1928 is great"

I have documented my 45 years with a 1928 Chev Tourer, from 1973 to 2018, and regulary add other items that I hope are of interest to others. Your comments are most welcome. The story of the Red Chev can be viewed at http://my28chev.blogspot.com/
