Is there a source for the correct ignition lock cylinder for '55? The ones on ebay look like the one on my my family's '60 corvair when I was a kid. We also had a '56 chevy, and if I remember correctly, its lock cylinder was shaped more like a twist knob with a slot for the key. This shape made it easier to turn with key removed. Is my memory correct?
Thanks,
Sid

Yes, the original was more like a big round chrome blob that you could get a grip on.
