Have a friend who collects wheel caps and covers. Has asked me to ask if Chevrolet had full wheelcovers in 1950, 1951, and 1952 as he has never seen them and if so how rare are they?

Chevrolet had full wheel covers in 1948, 1949,1953 and up.
1950-1952 had a wide disc that fit behind the hub cap and extended ot to about and inch from the outer edge so some of the rim was exposed like the full wheel cover did. They were stainless steel.

I have a set of Chevrolet accessory "Donuts" (they are as described by Gene above) on my '51 Chevy and they look great.

The pic is from the '51 accessory manual, but the car in the pic is not a '51 ! dance

I had them on my 38 (15" wheels) in 51/52. I liked them and still do.
