I am ready to buy the windshields for my 51 convertible there seems to be two sources bob's auto glass and auto city glass in mn. has anybody had any experience with either as far as fit and quality?

National Chevy Assoc. also has the windshields. I don't have experience (yet) with quality or fit , but I would think that most are made by a large national mfg. Perhaps you could ask the vendors for references of past recent sales.

I think that most of the glass available is good quality and is made from good patterns. I would suggest that you do some homework and make sure you get top quality gaskets to install your glass as the gaskets make a big difference in the final installation of the windshields.

Ever thought of a one piece windshield? Years ago I put a 50 Olds one piece windshield into my 51 chevy - perfect fit. Got it from a wrecking yard. Just saw out the metal divider. Think we used a utility knife to work over the gasket. Loved not having to look through the dog leg. Nice upgrade if you are not keeping it totally stock
