I have a 1953 short frame generator on my 35 Std with the 207 engine. The generator and regulator have been checked and are functioning correctly on a powered test stand. Yet I feel that the cut out does not actuate charging soon enough. I would like to find a smaller diameter pulley as on the original 3 brush, but with the cooling fan. Does such an item exist?

The cut out in the voltage regulator can be adjusted to cut in and out. Would this be more simple?

You can adjust the cut-out section of the regulator for the points to close sooner thus activating the generator to charge sooner.
