I need a left rear fender for my 30 standard coupe anyone know where I can buy a new one. Spent the last few hours looking with no luck. Also I want to remove the gas tank cover for refinishing. Do I need to remove the trunk panel between the trunk lid and the gas tank cover to get it off

New 1930 rear fenders just about don't exist. Even nice used rear fenders are extremely hard to find....and expensive if found.

To remove the gas tank cover you don't remove the lower trunk panel because that is part of the body of the car. You will have to raise the complete body up off of the chassis to get to the upper bolts that hold the gas tank cover in place so that it can be removed.

Go to the Filling Station, you can get a 30 fender from them. Now what Skip is tell you, the reproduction is not really correct to the original from what I understand. I think the bead is different since they are using the same roller as the 31/32 fenders. Don't quote me on that.

Genem,

I purchased what I thought were a pair of decent 31 rear fenders awhile ago that I believe are 1930. If your interested I sent you a PM.
