I have a water pump shaft in a GM box with the following numbers: GM Part # 1-555747, Bearing Assembly Group 1.023. What year car or truck is this part for? Thanks

It is not a chevrolet number. Looks like the number sets Oldsmobile used.
It is listed as a GMC number.
Also crosses with 906959, 954928, 954446,and 954935.

OK - I went down in the basement and looked in the Oldsmobile parts book.
In the 1954 book it is listed for 1949-1954 Olds.
The 1956 book shows a different number so a new number (and revised part) came out in 1955 or 1956.

I also thought it was for a 1938 Chevrolet, but I cannot confirm that. The "1" that proceeds the rest of the part number is not in any Chevrolet parts books that I have or seen. I have to agree with Chev Nut that it is Oldsmobile. I was just trying to ID it so I can find it a good home. Another "Sure it will fit your Chevy" part I picked up at a swap meet. Thanks for the help.
