Hi
this is grease monkey 123. I have a 2 part question
I have a 51 chevy with a 50/50 electrical system 6/12 volt
Question 1 Has any one tried to use or fabricate a 12 volt wiper motor from a modern car to replace the vacuum wiper motor not using a 56/57 chevy cost too high.
question 2 if so what make and model can be fabricated

any info would be appreciated thanks

Newport engineering makes a kit for an electric wiper motor. I know National Chevy and Chev's of the 40's have them, others probably do also.

Thanks for the info but I really wanted to know if anybody has used a modern.electric wiper from a junked car and made it work on a 51, I know there are wiper motors you can buy but I am from the old school and like to fabricate or do things different. thanks again
