I am trying to find out the finish on the faceplate for this radio. The one I have has been left in the weather and the faceplate appears to have been all chrome. However in "online old chevy manuals" the accessories catalog pictures seem to portray it as colored with chrome highlighting.Does anyone know how it looked.
Thanks

The face plate was chromed and then the recessed areas were painted the color of the top of the dash, etc.The area behind the chevrolet name was painted and around the push buttons and dial andbelow the speaker basically

Thanks Gene All's clear now. All I have to do now is make it go! That will be a learning curve.
