I have just bought a much battered and rusted 6 tube vertical dial radio on an online auction. I haven't decided whether to try and fix it up or fit a modern radio in its shell. The dash faceplate didn't rust as it is a brass pressing but the chrome is in a sad state. However looking at a picture of one in the '39 accessories catalogue it appears that it may have been part painted. If it was this would be a great help in making it presentable. Is there anyone out there who has one or seen one who could give me a description of it
Thanks
