I think I understand the difference in my oil filter can support now,my can looks exactly like the picture I have of an AC but the support is removable?Yah there shure is some weird components on that engine in the 48 on ebay!!!??? I would think they could at least research the proper spelling for Fleetline....I think (fleatline) is a little off...Heres my latest question..what is the sequence of the cushions and shims on the center of the radiator support..heres the parts I have..all have bolt holes and or opennings 2 1/2 in. on center for the 2 carage bolts ...(2 metal peices 1 in.wide..1 is 4 in. and 1 is 3 1/4 long)(2 rubber cushons both 4 in. long..1 is 1 in. wide the other is 1 1/2 in. wide)2 rubber shims both 1 1/2 in. by 4 in...the 4 rubber peices form a kit from chevs of the 40s..chef

The only picture that I have is from the parts book-shows a 1949....Carriage bolts drop down thru core support, next under the support comes a rubber cushion, then shims are shown-which may or not be necessary, then the part on the frame that it mounts to,under that another cushion (if there are two sizes I would use the largest one here as it supports the weight),another metal plate, the nut locking plate and then the nuts......Does this mean that the engine is in .

The shims would lift the entire front clip slightly as they would go under the core support..If its out of wack when your done-front sheetmetal too low-they can always be added.
