I have 1931 2 Dr Sedan, 194 engine that I have de-sludged top and bottom (had about 2" of sludge in pan that eat oils in oil pan. My question is now that engine is de-eluded what is best modern oil to use Mfg and grade.

Also what is best is best grease to use on the many alemite Chassis fittings.

Many Thanks the support this site offers is excellent

If you do a search for oil on this site you will find 99% recommend 10W-30. Brand is not important. I would run a change for a few hundred miles and then change it again so get the cheapest name brand oil.

For the chassis grease I used a Moly added grease recommended for modern Ford products. Once you select a chassis grease use the same brand/type as all greases do not mix with one and another.

My recommendation is 10W 30 detergent oil.

Use chassis grease for all the chassis points.
