On a 1929 headlight I have the following parts a chrome ring a lens a second ring that has the screw holes and a cork gasket. in what order do they get put together. My parts book does not show it. Thanks for the help also a search did not help.

A cork gasket was not used on the 1930 headlights. The gasket used was a wide, flat cardboard gasket.

Since the 1929 headlights are the same, the wide, flat heavy cardboard gasket was used in 1929 also.

As I remember, it was the flat heavy cardboard gasket, then the lens and finally the metal retainer.
