This fitting snapped off at the manifold based on age. If I remember while pulling out the motor, it feeds vacuum to the VA shifting unit and to the distributor. Anyway, pretty standard looking T-Fitting. Probably can get it from a fitting store but anyone know a source they have used? Filling Station and Chev of 40's don't appear to have it. Or if you have one let me know.

Also FYI in case you are unaware. There are 2 salvage yards in OR that will search for parts for you with a phone call and/or a picture in an email. I do not know their names but was referenced by The Filling Station to them:

The fitting is for the wipers and the vacuum shift. The distributor gets the vacuum from the body of the carburetor.
The fitting was used on 1939 cars with vacuum shift and all 1940-1942 cars. It carried a Chevrolet part number which would indicate is a special fitting.

Right, and thank you. I could not find it in the '40 shop manual to get a number, but regardless, wondered if anyone has bought one from (fill in the blank).

If you can't find what you need at your local hardware store try McMaster-Carr.
