For my 29 my radiator cap; it is stuck in place. Everything is clean and new, and not cross threaded. Any ideas how to get this off, without beating up my chrome? Thanks for the help.

You might even try a kitchen supply store. Ask for something for helping to remove tight jar lids.

First, spray it with some penetrating oil and let it soak in for a while. I use PB Blaster, but folks say that the best is AFT and Acetone 50/50.
Then, you could wrap the cap with an old bicycle inner tube (to protect the chrome) and then use a large pipe wrench to loosen it.

I use one of those oil filter wrenches with the lever action handle. The smaller one fits those caps and the metal band is soft enough to indent so it really grabs well. Doesn't harm the chrome a bit. Those rubber band wrenches might work but the rubber stretches so the grab might not be enough.

When I installed my new radiator, I didn't remove the paint from the threads of the radiator. I could not get the cap off. I did what Chipper said and it worked great. I cleaned the threads on the cap and the radiator and it works fine

Or you can use basic physics and expand the cap. Protect the hood paint with some plastic sheets, and pour very hot water (almost boiling) on the cap to expand it. Do the pour slowly. The cap will be very hot, so use a towel or a strap tool to grab and twist the cap.
