I have the fenders, hood and side boards off and the light buckets and parking lights off the fenders. Should I paint all the pieces separately and then reassemble or reassemble first and then paint? When I put the fenders back on, should the welt show? If so, should it be painted also?

I would suggest painting all of the sheet metal pieces individually and then reassemble them on the car.

The welting should show.

Thanks Mr Dog. That's what I thought and will proceed as such.
