I have a closed driveshaft powerglide and I am trying to figure out what year it is any help would be appreciated

If it has a short lever on the lower left side of the bell housing that is part of the case it is a 1953 or 1954.That is hooked to the carb. linkage and controls the automatic shift points.
The 1950-1952 does not have this. JUst has a flat cover bolted on the side (solid)
If the trans. mount bolt holes are at the front of the rear part of the case it is for a 1950 or 1951.
If the trans. mount bolts go into the front of the very rear extension (front half of the U joint ball) it is for a 1952.
