All of my 26/27 camshafts have the characteristic "U" shaped to the lifter to an extent that I do not want to reassemble an engine without a reground cam.

There seems to be room for improvement of the cam profile due to the 1928 camshaft being significantly different.

Information seems sparse, does anybody have any experience or opinions about the effectiveness of an alternative cam profile?

I have read somewhere that the FA-FB motor had a camshaft with higher lift cam lobes and was used by the likes of Giovanine and possibly gerber.
