In doing my carburetor I've realized I don't have enough reference books to feel like I can figure out what I'm doing. I know this forum is a big help but I'd also like to have the right books if I need them. Please make suggestion on additional materials I should look out for in the future.

Here's what I currently have:
Body Service Manual 1933- 1936
Engineering Features 1936
1935 Chevrolet Repair Manual w/ 1936 supplement
Instructions for the Care of your Chevy 1936
Parts and Accessories catalog for 1929-1957

Thanks

Did you see the carb sheets and the electrical diagrams in the MEMBERS area?

Log in at http://vcca.org/members
and then go into the RESOURCE CENTER.
Then follow ALL links, but especially the TECHNICAL one.

Happy hunting!!!

I take it by late model you are referring to the one with metal doors? "Z" on the cowl tag?

Yes, steel doors. I don't have a cowl tag.

And, to be clear, I'm hoping for reference suggestions regarding the whole car not just my carbs. I might have been clearer about that. Sorry

Sounds like you've got just about all there is to get in book form that has '36 specific practical garage info in it.

There is a yahoo user group for '36 cars 'n trucks:

Click me! Click me!

Seems to be a pretty active group to join if you're not there already...

The only other reference book that I can think of is "The Chevrolet Six Car and Truck" by Victor W. Page, M.E. Published by The Norman W,. Henley Publishing Co., 2 West 45th Street, New York. You will want to get the 1938 book. These are re-printed and available from AbeBooks.com. They also have some original copies, too. "A practical treatise written in simple language, explaining the functions and construction of all parts of Chevrolet six cars and trucks, with complete instructions for operation, maintenance and lubrication. Contains over three hundred specially made diagrams and authoritative photographs. This is the definitive book.
