I rebuilt the carb on my 51 235 and didn't run it for a month or so . It doesn't seem to be pumping ! I have to feather it to rev the engine when starting out ! Maybe I should have soaked it first ! Or could it be below the pump , a passage way ! I have driven it around 400 miles . Any ideas ? Thanks.

Could be the ball check in the pump, a ball in the pump circuit or a pluggd passage. I doubt if it would be the pump leather or rubber but an inspection would be best. When you shake the pump you should hear the ball rattle.
