Hi guys, I currently own a '37 Chevy PU restored to original. I'm considering trading a guy near my house for his '57 Chevy 4 door. Can I get some feedback on the 4 doors? I understand that they won't be worth quite as much as the 2 doors. But any positives or negatives? Any feedback would be appreciated.

As the owner of a 37 Chevrolet truck, I have only one question: Why? What's wrong with the truck? OK - that was two questions. Sorry.

Nothing wrong with it. It is my first classic car. I love the '57 Chevys and always have. My ultimate goal is to have a truck and a car but with 3 kids and 1 of them in college my finances won't allow me to do that now. So I'm just keeping all my options open. I do think the'57 will be a more comfortable "cruising" classic. But, on the other hand, I do believe if both vehicles were at a car show the '37 PU would draw more attention. That's why I was hoping to get some feedback from some '57 owners.

Its a matter of personal preference. One is a car and the other a truck. They are also built 2 decades apart. If the '57 satisfies you and meets your needs go for it.

Yes the 57 would be way more comfortable but I would not even think about ever trading my 37 p/u even if it was for a highly optioned 57 convertible,my 37 has been in the family for many years and its going to stay. Do what you think is best for yourself and family,I wish I had a 57 to trade you as I think yours is a 3/4 or a one ton if I can remember correctly and would love to add one to the fleet.

I own a '37 half ton and a '55 BelAir. From my perspective the Tri5's are "a dime a dozen". No disrespect to anyone, it's just my opinion. Looking back at the many car shows I've attended or participated in over the past ten or so years, I can't recall not seeing at least one, usually multiple examples, of Tri5's represented. On the other hand, and other than at a street rod meet, I have yet to see another restored '37. I know these are out there and shown at VCCA event, but there are few. I have to ask myself, in twenty years, which will be more rare and maybe even worth more? "Worth" being defined here as more than just dollars. Good luck with your decision.
