I saw a link on this forum that directed members to Bobs Buick Memorabilia for side view mirrors. I contacted and purchased some side view mirrors them for my 29 Imperial Landau. When I received them, and I saw the published diameter before I purchased them, the pins are to large. Length is certainly OK but the diameter is a problem. The pins that come with the mirrors measure .345 and the original hinge pins are and should be .340. I have contacted a few shops that do cylindrical grinding but each had a minimum charge of $125.00. Does anyone have a viable alternative to the pickle I have put myself in? Anyplace I can get hinge pins that measure .340 and 3 inches in length? Any other suggestions that may be viable?from

Hello langer,
I might be off base to suggest reaming your hinges to accept your .345 diameter pins, but it is one alternative. You might also think about welding some .345 onto some .340 to make a two stage pin that will work for the hinge and the mirror. I don't know how your mirrors will tighten up securely, but I'll assume there is a nut to lock the mirror in place. Anyway, Good Luck.

Turn down the .345 pins to the correct size. Shouldn't cost too much at a machine shop if you are not able to yourself.
