Was wondering what we think..
I'm installing NOS brake cables on my 39. Should I put something on the cables to help them from freezing up?
Also on the cables is a 3-4" bumper do we know where this bumper should be positioned on the cable and what is the bumper protecting again.

Thank you,

If the bumper is a rubber sleeve I would guess it goes where the cable comes over the rear spring mainly to protect the cable from damaging on the spring edge and a noise reduction.
