Hi
I posted this on the Newbie page, but was told it would be better here. Any comments gratefully received
I have a 1930 Sports Roadster. The dash is just a solid slab of wood, with the correct instruments & knobs, but I think I have seen much fancier central panels on the dash, which contain the instruments etc.
Any comments, or is this the way it should be?

The instrument panel should be made of metal.

I have a RHD 1930 Sports Roadster ( body by Holden Motor Bodies ) . The dash is all metal and there is no centre dash piece it is all one piece right across .The gauges fit into the centre area of the metal panel . I think the 1929 Chevrolets had a separate metal dash panel section for the gauges .

I can send you Photo's if you send me your E-Mail address.

The 1930 instruments are attached to a mounting plate , and the mounting plate is fitted from behind the metal dash panel , and so is not seen from the front. I have sent pictures to Peter in the UK.

Hi Jack
Thanks for the pics, I am interested in buying. As I said earlier, I am probably going to use the car over summer & do the repainting in the winter, so there is time for sea freight. Please advise what and if you can sell me
Regards
Peter
