1935 Chevy (of course) half ton PU. Where does the throttle cable attach to the fuel linkage? I am convinced I am missing a part, the small brass thingy with a screw in it is no where to be found. Where would I get one?

Thanks

I figured as much. But exactly where does it attach?

The clamp is a piece of brass, or other similar material, drilled two ways. One is for a set screw and the other is for the cable. It is installed in a manner that the arm is pulled by the cable, but the arm can operate independent of the cable. Can be used for both the throttle and the choke wires.

The question was, and remains, exactly where does it go? I see no place where it would attach to.

There should be a bracket on one of the bowl cover screws on your carb. Probably the right rear most location.
I believe the bracket holds the choke cable which pokes toward the front of the truck and also holds the throttle cable which will be held pointing down. The internal wire of the throttle cable extends down to the throttle bell crank on the side of your engine. The wire will pass through a hole in the linkage and then the wire stop is clamped to the wire so it will pull the linkage when the knob is pulled.
I have tried to make this explanation as convoluted and difficult to understand as possible. How did I do?
I could provide a photo or two if necessary. The problem is my photography skills are about the same as my explaining skills.

You did very well, thank you.

I have the bracket in place. The choke is hooked up. The throttle cable would run between the manifold and engine. Now all I have to do is find that hole in the linkage. It would help if that $%^&*( manifold wasn't in the way.

What you described makes perfect sense. Thank you.
