I'm getting so tired of opening this great site each day and seeing those same old pics of a '37 temp gauge, corvette disaster, rusty running board, and fuel tank float. Must be some of you 10,000 members who have a recent or not so recent project to post! We should try to refresh this area at least weekly, I've put my '31 Coach in there a few times at different stages, and if no one fills these spots soon I'm gonna start posting again, I got a million pics. C'mon man!

I'd post some photo's...But, what the heck...Been here for a few years and I never even see my car come up on the "Featured Chat Guy (or Gal)..." Or "Previous Photo"...And, I see the same one's again...and again...Never my car...Maybe it's like a slot machine and my cherries never line up...Better pull to the side of the road so I have shoulder to cry on... For cry'in out loud...

Stunning!! The first car I ever drove was my Dad's 42 war model Fleetline that eventually ended up with my brother. I still feel that the Fleetline models through 52 were by far the most gracefully designed cars that Chevy made. In fact, my first car was a 49 2dr Fleetline.
Thanks for the photos.
Jim.

Of all the post war design Fleetlines I think the 1949 Deluxe 2 door was the best looking. All the trim parts, the slim trunk handle and shorter bumper guards all blended together the best. By 1950 the demand was going all to the Styleline models. The Styleline was hard to get and dealers were floodded with Fleetlines and very few buyers wanted them.

Thank you Gene. My 49 was the deluxe model in the greatest color ever put on the Fleetlines, and that was Black. So many of the accessories and parts that I had built up were sadly burned up in a fire in my Dad's barn from a lighting strike.

Great looking car. I have a friend (who is also a member of VCCA) who is doing the body and paint work for restoration of a '47 Oldsmobile, which look very much like the body lines of this Chevrolet. Does anyone know if they used the same body components?
