Now Men I have another question: Has anybody replaced the dash speaker above the glove box? I'm replacing the one in the 63 impala ss NOW The Gerry rig job someone did 2 3.5 speakers were wired to the speaker grill I ordered a new speaker from classic radio and I only have 1 bracket to bolt to can someone tell me where to bolt the other end? 1 end of the bracket is a little longer than the other. As before any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance men.

The correct speaker is a 6X9 10 Ohm. It is held in by a special bracket that lays on a ledge in the front and has a single bolt to hold the free end. The the special bracket is unique to the 63/64 cars. PS: A special note to all members. Never - Never dispose of a speaker frame that is an original speaker. Many are unique and can be reconed and operate as new.
