I'm getting ready to get parts ready to be woodgrained but do not know what all parts should be woodgrained for when I received the car I have it was in boxes & barrels & had been modified in as much as painting. I know that the dash & all window garnishes should be woodgrained but is there anything else???? How do I determine the colors of the woodgraning in as much as base color & top color????

Thank You for your Help.

Sparky,

I have a '41, and on the '41 the virtical divider separating the wind wing from the doorwindow is woodgrained. I can't say for sure that is the case, but I have contacted Thomas V. Wolcott (VCCA member #04217) on several issues common to '40s & '41s, and he really knows his stuff. He is the Technical Assistance advisor for the VCCA membership for 1940 Passenger cars. I bet he can assist you most if not all of your woodgraing questions.

Call him at: (602)-602-41-3696
