I picked up two pedals (clutch and brake?) in a box of parts that include what I think are other 1920's or earlier Chevrolet parts (at least there were early screw on Chevrolet hubcaps). One pedal has the part number 593805 along with GM13. On the other pedal the part number is illegible. The part number does not show up in my 1929-48 Chevrolet parts book. They are approximately 9" in length. Does anyone have an if these are Chevrolet and years they may fit? Thanks in advance for any clues! Here are several pictures:

I don't think they are from a Chevrolet, never seen them before.

I would imagine they came off a truck...At any rate, summer's coming up and if you clean them up real good, you could use them to tenderize meat for the barbie...

The barbecue use may be the best! Perhaps they are truck.
I believe Chevrolet because they were in a box with Chevrolet only parts (nickel plated hubcaps, 1936 cowl vent, etc.). Also, in the 1929-48 parts book, there was a part number listed for a pedal that was very close (I think only one number off...) In any event, I'll be taking to the AACA Charlotte event this week and put out for sale with the other stuff. Maybe someone cannot live with out them...

Just found a posting from the H.A.M.B that suggests they could be for a 37-38 Chevrolet. But if that is so, wonder why the part number wouldn't show up in the parts book? H.A.M.B posting

Junkyard Dog,
Thanks for that information--that may be the case. You're right--it's likely a casting number. I'll double check the parts book and if only one number off, will use that as a tentative ID.

I seriously doubt they are 37 / 38. The pedals and arms are 1 piece including pivot, at least on mine anyway. Tony

My 1939 sedan has this type of pedals which bolt into the brake and clutch levers.
