Finishing up the 27 one ton. New wiring harness with black and green wires to the rear for the tail light. Headlights work but neither the black or the green are hot for the tail light. Is there supposed to be a jump wire on the back of the key terminal switch between the connections for the black and green wires? Black shows hot at the terminal (switch).

NO, but there is a special terminal for the tail-light on the back of the 27 switch. This assumes that the original switch has not been changed out for an aftermarket switch.

The tail light is connected to the same terminal as the dash lights.
