GM started producing vehicles on the Buenos Aries , Argentina assembly line in 1925. The parts were shipped out from Tarrytown NY I believe as CKD ( complete knock down ) and assembled there. My 1935 Chevrolet standard series roadster came from there as a right hand drive car. They were a right hand drive country until 1939.

I am interested to see what a 1935 Imperial convertible looks like and whether its a roadster.....convertible or a convertible sedan or a touring. Is it a standard series or a master series ??? Is it possibly an Australian built holden body ??

let the pictures be posted.

No wonder it did not come up on google search, he spelled it all wrong......massive typo error.

ANYWAY........maybe the car I saw in western NY state back in early 80 was one of these glaser bodies.........it was a 34 chev master CONVERTABLE SEDAN with every stinking option you can think of. It was an olive drab colour.

I was concentrating on the fellows 34 Chevrolet standard roadster I was trying to buy. He only wanted $12.500 for the 34 master, guess I did not know what I was looking at.

Thank you everyone for the welcome. As promised these are some pictures of the car, unfortunately i realized we dont have very recent ones...on the bright side we are putting the grill back next week with a new chrome so there will be more pictures to follow :)

This picture is from august of last year when we were taking it to our new home.

I tried to search for the chassis number today but couldnt find it ((any hints at were it should be??))

I know my dad has the engine number written down somewhere so i will try to find it ((the engine is now in the shop after 2 years of searching Argentina for original spare parts :)

That is clearly a 1935-1936 style Chevrolet **master series** CONVERTIBLE SEDAN. You say its a 1935. Very trick body and top assembly, love the rear body of the cars design.

Interesting the GLASER BODY .

The ARTILLERY WHEELS look really nice. The front SUICIDE DOORS is a nice touch .

The top design shape at the rear area obviously makes it the special European design, unlike anything in the USA built.

When you get the grill re-installed maybe some pictures of the front and the dash inside area.

Recently there was a discussion on 1933 frame numbers in another 1933--1936 thread, and they were on the side of the frame on the outside and stenciled on.

Seeing as how this is **not** a FISHER BUILT BODY, the aluminum firewall tag most likely will not be on the firewall. You might look for a identification plate on the front of the floor area ???

great car..........mike parking

this body builder was more interesting on puting his work on more vintage 356 PORSCHE cars in the early 1950

thank you fro the tips mike

I was actually able to find a little metal tag on the right hand side (driver's side) next to the compartment where the battery lies. It reads K298

I also found the engine number which is R4963623

We are going next week to pick the engine which was in repair on another city which had access to original spare-parts. Hopefully there is more info i can dig up from there :)

I do not have any idea of what the K298 means, body serial number ????
The engine serial number could also be used as the VIN number.

WOW, PATAGONIA, your really down the bottom of Argentina and south America.
