Our prayers and condolences go out to those who are directly and indirectly affected by the tragic mudslide in Washington State. Natural disaster can be so unpredictable and sudden.

I agree with all..The location is about an hour north of Seattle and very wet..I owned a restaurant about 20 minutes away from the slide

Yeh, it's about an hour and 15 minutes from here....

Many sad stories there... One about a single gal (age 31?) who just moved in last week. She asked 3 contractors to come over at the same time to install a satellite dish so that she could receive a television signal. (An electrician, Dish TV guy, and another contractor)....

They arrived on-time around 9 am, shortly before the slide which occurred at 11 am. None of the four of them have been heard from since then.

Just one of many sad stories...

Is there a charity or local Red Cross Chapter there that the folks here at VCCA can donate to if they so choose??
Maybe someone can post a local charity there that can get direct aid.
Just a thought
