I am changing handles on my car. When i went to remove the set screw this is what i find. Its a tube like with a slot almost like a roll pin. What is the best way to remove this without damaging anything? What is inside there?

Hopefully someone has an idea. I've never seen anything like that. The OEM setup is a tapered shank set screw. Example.

The screws look like the ones on my '40. I had to grind down a cold chisel and renew (recut, deepen) the slots the first time I removed the screws. PO had boogered the slots up. It was kind of tricky because by cutting (driving) deeper slots it tended to spread and tighten the screwhead in the hole but eventually I got them out. If that doesn't work you will have to drill the screws out. If you get them out, when you reinstall them, just snug them up. They won't work loose.

I figured it out today we got an EZE out and spun it out. It was a roll pin. I will order the right screws monday to put it back with. Thanks
