I need to install a pull-down shade for the rear window on my 31 sport coupe. My question is exactly where does it go in terms of relation to the window. I understand it should be centered side to side, but how high above the rear window should it be installed. It seems like it should be mounted at least high enough so the shade, when retracted, clears the top of the window. Or should it go half way between the top of the window and the headliner. Or am I asking for a measurement that does not exist and I should install it so it looks good to me.
Thanks for any constructive, or humorous, input.

I think you have about covered it. Place C to C and high enough that when raised, does not obstruct your rear view.
