Actually cars were not supplied with a hand crank after 1939. There was a universal crank sold and it was 33 1/8" overall length.

I got lucky and found one at a antique store I think I paid 3-5 bucks for. Could have been for a tractor for all I know. Took it home and tried it and it worked like a charm. But I wasn't about to try it until I made me a bracket to slide it through mounted on the front splash pan so it would keep it straight so it wouldn't get binded up when using to start it.. I also had one for my 41 ton and half, I used it at cruise Ins it was a hoot...All the old timers and kids really liked it...Heck I thought it was cool too.. Occasionally I use it to start my car at the cruise Inns.. It's a flowmaster I think 40 series,single muffler with dual inlet and dual outlet...
