Can somebody send me a picture of there distributor where the ignition cable is attached to the distributor? What parts are suppose to be there? Is there special washers or spacers? I am missing these parts and need to know how to put it together without shorting out the wiring on the body of the distributor. The best picture would be with the cap off. Thanks, Paul junkyard4@aaahawk.com

Actually, there is more to what you will see in a photo since there are many parts that are attached to the electrolock and to the distributor as well. The 1929-32 electrolock is assembled to the distributor in the following order: A. Inside of the distributor end of the electrolock are the following: 1. Bakelite cylinder 2. Wire terminal 3. Spring and brush wire 4. Terminal stud with a copper snap ring, a small steel washer, a larger Bakelite washer, then a round brass threaded retainer to hold all of the above inside of the electrolock. B. Between the electrolock end and the side of the distributor are the following, which are all part of the terminal stud assembly: 1. Large paper washer 2. Number 10 lock washer 3. Condenser eyelet (the condenser wire goes up thru the elongated slot in the bottom of the terminal cup listed below 4. Small steel washer 5. Large Bakelite washer 6. Bakelite insulating barrel 7. Terminal cup to hold all of the above 8. Large special lock washer (goes between the terminal cup and the side of the distributor) C. Inside of the distributor the parts are assembled to the terminal stud as follows: 1. Long rectangular shaped paper insulator 2. Square paper insulator bent at 90 degrees 3. Steel spacer 4. Point arm spring 5. Number 10-32 hex nut All of the above must be assembled in the proper order and you must have all parts or the unit will not work correctly. Good luck!

One more thing, when I static time this where should TDC be set? Should it be with the spark control cable pushed all the way in or at the half way point? Paul

Time it at 12 degrees advanced (there is a mark on the flywheel), with the spark knob pushed all of the way in. After you get the car running, then bump the timing to 18 degrees, and make sure that your AC C-86 spark plugs are gapped to .040".

Hey Donald! Thanks for the kind remarks, and your check is in the mail! Not a problem! I just got back from walking the highway and I picked up a bunch of aluminum beer cans. I am now in the process of removing the logos from the cans and stenciling "Badger" on each one. When done, these will be custom made "Badger" pistons for vintage Chevrolets, and one size will fit all! :cool2:
